Elevator Malfunction
The building’s procedures regarding elevator entrapment and the operation of the elevator intercom system are as follows:
To reach the security desk for assistance
Push the “TO CALL BUTTON”. Press this button; wait for the phone to dial-up and it will connect directly to the security console in the lobby of the building.
Please inform the guard what building you are in, the number of the elevator you are in and, if possible, the location of the elevator.
Remain calm and please follow any directions given to you by the security staff or the elevator personnel. Do not attempt to pry open the elevator doors as damages to the mechanism can lead to longer periods of entrapment.
